Photographs are great, but paintings are better. I know that as an artist I am bias, but paint evokes depth and emotion like no other. The skilled artist can bring out the glow in any subject. Paintings allow for corrections to be made; Tear stains and gray hairs removed, enlarging and omitting things that would otherwise be stuck in a photograph, or even combining two photographs become possible. Plus, you can be silly with paintings, like turn a dog named "Moose," into a Moose! So honor your best friend with a perfect portrait that will last many lifetimes, and let everyone else see your extra “family member” exactly how you do.
Do you have a favorite photo of your pet? That's where we start. Smiling, sleeping, upside down... All photographs can make a great custom portrait. From there we discuss how you would like to see your pet in detail. If you would prefer, I can also come to your home, meet your pet, and take custom photographs, ensuring their personality shines through (in the Los Angeles area).
Upon the final decision of the photo, medium and size of your portrait, you will receive a commission agreement stating the terms of the portrait, turnaround time, and payment. Half of the full commission price is due at the start of your portrait, and the remainder due prior to delivery. Before your portrait is completed, a digital copy will be sent to you for approval.
You will receive your portrait within 1-6 weeks, depending upon the size and detail. Shipping is included in the final price quoted.
