Blue Collar Working Dog, located in Echo Park. This place has everything you need if you've got a rough and tough dog. They host great training classes and workshops. Plus, they are extremely helpful and knowledgable about any random thing you could ask.

Best *Animal Trainer: Tanya Yarbrough of Urban Dog Star. This amazing woman teaches YOU to train your dog, and how to be it's pack leader. She works miracles with agressive and fearful dogs. *Animal trainer because she can help you train your cat too!
Best Dog Boarding: Sporting dogs B&B with Beth Worrell. They don't have a website yet, and are located an hour north of LA, but don't let that deter you. If you're going on vacation, bring your dog here. She's got acres and acres of space for your dog to run, and works with your dogs' needs. My anxious pup has been turned away from communal dog boarding, but Beth catered to her special needs and exercised her with the dogs that complemented her personality. Jasmine had so much fun that she didn't want to come home! Plus, Beth will train your dog for $5 a day. Yeah, that's right! Daily rates are $20, and she also offers a pick-up/drop-off service in LA on Wednesdays. 619-997-6277

Angel City Pit Bulls - A great organization that rescues and fosters pit bulls.
Fur Baby - This is where I found my best friend, Jasmine, at 2 months old. They are a no kill rescue shelter located in downtown Los Angeles.
Pasadena Humane Society - Our home turf! They also host the anual Wiggle Waggle Walk fundraising event. Now that's a big pack walk!
